# Edit Dashboard Properties

This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to edit the properties of your dashboard, allowing you to customize its settings and manage access.

1.  **Navigate to the Dashboard**: Locate the dashboard you want to edit and click the “Edit Dashboard” button to enter edit mode.
2.  **Open Properties**: Click on a button with a three dot icon to open a dropdown menu. In the dropdown menu, click on “Edit Properties” to open the dashboard properties menu where you can make changes.
3.  **Edit Properties**: Once in the properties menu, you can customize the following properties of your dashboard:
    -   **Basic Information**: Change the dashboard's name and URL slug for easier identification and access.
        -   **URL Slug**: Provides a readable and accessible URL link directly to your dashboard. This should be unique and typically includes lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens (avoid spaces and special characters).
    -   **Access Controls**: Define who can edit or view the dashboard by setting owners and roles.
    -   **Color Scheme**: Select a color scheme that aligns with your brand or preference.
    -   **Certification**: Indicate the certification authority and provide details for authenticity.
    -   **Tags**: Apply tags to enhance the searchability and categorization of your dashboard.
4.  **Saving Changes:** After making the necessary changes, click the "Apply" button to save and apply the changes.
