Approval of the DoA Log (PI Initial)

After all staff members have signed their Delegation of Authority (DoA) records, the Principal Investigator (PI) can give their approval for the entire log:

  1. PI Initial Button Activation: The PI Initial button will become active once every staff member has signed their respective DoA record.
  2. When you click the PI Initial button, a prompt will appear for the PI to provide their initials. Enter your initials in the designated space within the prompt.
  3. Completion of Approval: After the initials are entered, the DoA record for each individual will be updated to display:
    • The PI's initials at the bottom of their record.
    • The date of the PI's authorization in the 'PI Authorizing Date' column.

Note: Any PI associated with the study has the authority to perform the PI Approvals. It does not have to be the PI who has been primarily assigned to the log.
