Dashboard Layout
Dashboard Header
- Dashboard Title: The title of the current dashboard is prominently displayed at the top of the page.
- Favorite: Click on the star icon to mark this dashboard as one of your favorites. This feature allows you to quickly access your most frequently used or important dashboards from a favorites section.
- Status Indicator: This section displays the current status of the dashboard, whether it is a draft (work in progress) or published (finalized and accessible to others). The status indicator helps you quickly identify if the dashboard is still being worked on or if it has been officially published and shared.
Dashboard Content Area
The main content area is where all the visualization components are displayed.
- Charts and Visualizations: This area displays the various charts, visualizations, and filters that have been added to the dashboard. Most charts are interactive. You can hover over data points to see more details, zoom in and out, or apply filters directly on the chart (if available).
- Filters: Filters allow you to refine the data displayed on the dashboard. You can adjust the filter values, and the changes will be reflected across all the relevant components on the visualization area.
Refreshing Dashboard Data
The "Refresh Dashoard" feature in Talosix Analytics allows you to refresh the data displayed in your dashboard charts and visualizations, ensuring that you are seeing the most up-to-date information.
When to refresh dashboard
You may need to use the Refresh Dashboard feature in the following scenarios:
- Data Updates: When you know that the underlying data source has been updated, and you want to see the changes reflected in your dashboard charts and visualizations.
- Cache Clearing: Sometimes, the cached data in the Analytics server may not be up-to-date, and you need to clear the cache to fetch the latest data.
Refreshing Dashboard
To refresh your dashboard, follow these steps:
- Open your dashboard in your web browser.
- Click on the "three horizontal dots" icon, located in the top-right corner of the dashboard.
- Click on the "Refresh Dashboard" option.
After clicking the "Force Refresh" button, the system will fetch the latest data from the underlying data sources and update the charts and visualizations in your dashboard accordingly.
Refreshing Individual Charts
In addition to refreshing the entire dashboard, Analytics also allows you to refresh the data in individual charts and visualizations. This can be useful if you only need to update specific components of your dashboard without refreshing the entire content.
To refresh an individual chart, follow these steps:
- Locate the chart or visualization you want to refresh on your dashboard.
- Click on the "three vertical dots" icon, located in the top-right corner of the chart.
- Selec the "Force Refresh" option.
After clicking the refresh option, the system will fetch the latest data from the underlying data source and update the selected chart or visualization accordingly, while leaving the rest of the dashboard untouched.
Downloading Dashboards
Talosix Analytics allows you to download your dashboards as image files (JPEG) or PDF documents. This feature is useful when you need to share your dashboard visualizations with others or include them in presentations or reports.
Downloading as an Image
To download your dashboard as an image file , follow these steps:
- Open your dashboard.
- Click on the "three horizontal dots" icon, located in the top-right corner of the dashboard.
- Hover on the "Download" option and select "Download as image" button.
The downloaded image file will contain a snapshot of your entire dashboard, including all charts and visualizations.
Downloading as a PDF
To download your dashboard as a PDF document, follow these steps:
- Open your dashboard.
- Click on the "three horizontal dots" icon, located in the top-right corner of the dashboard.
- Hover on the "Download" option and select "Export to PDF" button.
The downloaded PDF file will contain a snapshot of your entire dashboard, including all charts and visualizations.
