Create a Chart

In the Talosix Analytics Suite, we offer charts as visual tools to simplify your data analysis. You can choose from various types like bar, line, pie, and scatter to clearly identify trends, patterns, and relationships. With our advanced customization options in the Chart Builder, you can tailor charts to suit specific analytical needs.

To easily visualize your data using charts in the Talosix Analytics Suite, follow these steps to create and configure your chart from either the Home page or the Charts page.

  1. Access the Chart Creation Option
    • From the Home Page:  Click the '+ Chart' button on the Charts section to start creating a new chart.
    • From the Charts Page: Go to to Analytics -> Charts from the main menu. Click the '+ Chart' button to start chart creation.

      Once you click '+ Chart', the Create a New Chart screen will appear.
  2. Select a Dataset: Click the dropdown arrow in the Choose a Dataset field, and select your desired dataset.
  3. Select a Chart Type: Talosix offers a wide range of chart types, from simple bar graphs to complex geospatial charts. Click on the visualization type suitable for your data and the story you want to tell. You can search for a specific chart type or browse by chart category.
  4. After selecting, click Create New Chart. This will take you to the Chart Builder screen, where you can customize your chart with various tools.
  5. On the Chart Builder Page:
    • Customize Metrics and Filters: 
      • Metrics: Define what calculations you want to perform on your data. Common metrics include sums, averages, counts, and more. You can drag metrics and columns from the left panel to the Configuration Panel on the right.
      • Filters: Apply filters to narrow down your data. This could be filtering by date, categories, or custom SQL conditions.
      • Adding Dimensions: If you want to see breakdowns by certain attributes (like date, category, etc.), use the Group By fields to add these dimensions.
    • Customize Your Chart: Each chart type has unique options that you can customize. This might include setting axes, choosing color schemes, or defining what metrics to display.
  6. Advanced Analytics (Optional): you can further enhance your visualization with advanced analytics features. These tools allow you to delve deeper into your data, uncovering more complex insights. For more detailed information please visit [ link ].
  7. Click the '+Create Chart' button to create and preview your chart.
  8. Once you're satisfied, click the Save button at the top to save your chart.
